This is a 1966 Econoline. Rust repair, welding, bodywork, painting, hydraulics, gearing, electrical.

After the restoration, I engine swapped the van with an electric drive system from an auctioned airport refueling truck.

Over 50 circuits, a 96v drive system, and 500lbs of lithium. This was the biggest electronics project I’ve ever done. All circuit diagrams were created in CAD.

The rack, bumpers, ladder, battery boxes, were designed in AutoCAD, and cut on a plasma table. I hired a second person to help with TiG welding.

The budget for this restoration and electric swap was $10,000. Project budget needed to be watched carefully, and auctions, salvaged parts, and careful spending kept it on track.
